Pam Johnson, Administrator: I have been preparing for my role as administrator at CCMC ever since delivering my first child in a birth center in 1995. Two of the CCMC midwives provided my care throughout my pregnancy with my youngest daughter, whom I delivered at home in my bathtub in May of 2008. At that time, these wonderful midwives were already talking about plans open a birth center in the area. I was extremely excited about the idea. In August of 2010 I was asked to join the team at CCMC.

My background is varied – I have taught elementary school, managed a group of software developers, sold real estate, and managed a chiropractic office. But all of that experience together has provided me with a broad base that allows me to serve these midwives and this center in the many ways they need. My passion for education and childbirth is leading me to also become a certified labor doula and certified childbirth educator, which I am currently pursuing and hope to be able to contribute even more to CCMC in years to come.

My main role at CCMC is managing the daily operations, including facilitating insurance contracts and payments for our clients. If you have a question about insurance or finances, I’m the one to see! I can be reached at Pam@CarolinaBirth.org.
