Breastfeeding Class

Breastfeeding Class – Breastfeeding is a natural process, and it is as much art as it is science. This class helps the expectant mother and her partner prepare for breastfeeding. The class includes: the benefits of breastfeeding, how to get started and how to know your baby is getting enough to eat. The ideal time to take this class is during the last month of pregnancy. Partners or another family member are encouraged to attend with the mother.

Jennifer Corbin, IBCLC

The class is taught by Jennifer Moss Corbin, BS, IBCLC, LLLL, CD. Jennifer currently provides home visit lactation services and both birth and postpartum doula services through Birth & Breastfeeding Connection, a business she started in 2008. Jennifer is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 2002. She interned and worked at Carolinas Medical Center as a Lactation Consultant from 2000-2007. She is also an accredited La Leche League Leader since 1999 currently leading the Charlotte South group. Jennifer is from Cleveland, TN and is a 1994 graduate of Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. She resides in Charlotte with her husband and three children ages 13, 11 and 4.
